Time to rock Mid Autumn!
Mid-Autumn, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival or Moon Festival, is a traditional celebration observed in many East and Southeast Asian cultures, including China, Vietnam, Korea, and Japan.
To celebrate this joyful occasion, we've created a curriculum centered around the theme for our little ones!

Hopping with the moon bunnies! 🐰
The origin of moon bunnies, also known as the Jade Rabbit or Moon Rabbit, comes from ancient folklore in East Asian cultures, particularly in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese mythology. This celestial rabbit is often depicted as living on the moon, working to mix or pound elixirs of immortality.
Our little ones became moon bunnies, hopping around on the lunar surface! They performed a skit where they had to hop along as the moon changed its shape.
Baking our mooncakes! 🥮
No, we didn't hold a cooking class...😂
But through imaginative play, we guided our little ones on how to bake mooncakes, which is a key part of celebrating Mid-Autumn.
In real life, mooncakes are often exchanged as gifts between family, friends, and business partners, symbolising the sharing of good luck, prosperity, and blessings. The intricate designs on mooncakes, such as flowers, the moon, or characters for longevity and harmony, further enhance their symbolic meaning.
